Activity Notes

We start at the Garfield Peak Trailhead at the Crater Lake Lodge Parking lot. It's about 1.7 miles on the trail to the summit of Garfield Peak (8,054'). We descend to the Crater Rim and traverse east about 0.6 miles to Dyar Rock.  It's a 3rd class scramble up the SE corner to the summit (7,840').  Back down and continue east about 0.7 miles to the summit of Applegate Peak (8,126'). Traverse west back to the Garfield Peak Trail and return to the Crater Lake parking lot.
