Activity Notes

For this hike we will be parking at the Dog River Trailhead to begin our ascent up the Dog River Trail to Ponderosa Point before descending to the ZigZag trail head. A popular trail for mountain bikers, the Dog River trail is well-maintained as a result however we will have to be mindful of any bikers coming down the trail. After (hopefully) catching a few nice views of Mt Hood at Ponderosa Point as well as wildflowers, we will head back down the other side to our cars at the ZigZag trail head.

As mentioned in the title, this is a thru hike, with a plan of shuttling between both trailheads. We will need enough cars to do so.
