Deschutes River-Trout Creek Trail (Mecca Flats)

Activity Notes

• SEE: Springtime in the Canyon of the Deschutes near Warm Springs. 
• HIKE LEADER: David Rempel, ph.# 928 587-0511; email: crempel2@yahoo.com; 
• START: 7:00 a.m. Clackamas Towne Center Transit Center P&R
• TRAIL HEAD: 9:15 a.m. BLM boat launch opposite Warm Springs (off the road about a mile).
• PHOTO OPS: Expect to see many varieties of wildflowers and bird indigenous to central Oregon; as well as an occasional deer, otter, beaver, and rainbow trout. While we do not want to bog-down the pace too much, there will be some extra time allowed for photos. 
• WEATHER: Watch the forecast going into the hike to know what to expect and how to dress. Glorious sunshine snow, ice, rain, etc. are all possible this time of year. 
• REQUIRED PASS/FEES: TBD. 
• HIKE SIGN-UP: Must be completed on the Mazamas website prior to hike (i.e., no paper sign-ups day of hike).
