Activity Notes

If this weather keeps holding, we may just catch some beautiful views.

Meet at the Mazamas MMC Parking Lot at 6:30am, establish carpools, drive to Mirror Lake Trail Head (where you'll need a NW Forest Pass), and get going soon afterward. Driving Directions!

Hike Details: Oregon Hikers, All Trails, Gaia GPS.

None of these is totally accurate, but they give you an idea. I plan to have us round Mirror Lake the long way, hit Harry, Dick, and Tom (in other words get to the top) enjoy a photo op if there is one, and then head back the shortest way possible (back how we came, but around the short side of the lake). It should be no more than a total of 10 miles, and I aim to stop for food and a recharge beverage in Government Camp, even if it isn't exactly on the way home.

This will be an exploratory route for me, but well blazed. Mirror Lake TH is the most popular on Hood, which is why even in November, we're getting an early start.

Bring a lunch, some snax, lots of warm clothes and hat, NO COTTON (If you've hiked with me you know this is my mantra), trekking poles, waterproofs, at least two liters of Water, and whatever else you'll need to be comfortable.

Most of all, let's have fun!
