  • START: 7:00 a.m. Gateway/99th St. Transit Center P&R, plan on being there 10-15 minutes early to check-in and organize carpooling.
  • TRAIL HEAD: 8:15 a.m. Tom, Dick & Harry TH
  • LUNCH: At the top
  • WEATHER: Watch the forecast going into the hike to know what to expect and how to dress/prepare (see Leader Notes for more information). This time of year is about my favorite for hiking Tom Dick and Harry, it is cool and Mt. Hood is gorgeous in it's white mantle. 
  • REQUIRED GEAR: Trekking poles & foot traction (e.g., Yaktrax, microspikes, etc.), do not expect to need snowshoes this time of year--if needed I will let you know.
  • REQUIRED PASS/FEES: Drivers will need an Oregon Sno Park  and NW Forest Passes. Hike sign-up on Mazamas website required.
  • UNDER 18 YRS OLD PARTICIPANTS: Require signed parental permission slip presented to hike leader at start; those 13-14 yrs old must be accompanied by parent/responsible adult (as identified in permission slip).
