High above Detroit Lake, Dome Rock provides Dramatic views of snowy Mt Jefferson and surrounding foothills

Activity Notes

This is a great hike that starts right off the highway on the north shore of Detroit Lake. As we climb higher, we will enjoy views of Detroit Lake and Tumble Lake and the surrounding wilderness, including Mount Jefferson. Dome Rock itself is a bare rock summit that offers 360 degree views during a well deserved lunch break.

We will aim to leave 7:30 and arrive at the trailhead around 9. There are no parking permits required, though parking can be limited at the trailhead. Carpooling is highly encouraged!
