The Mazamas have a long history of trail tending in the Pacific Northwest.

Tasks at these activities will often include cutting logs, trimming brush, and clearing drain dips. No experience necessary, but certifications such as crosscut saw training are very helpful!

Activity Notes

Join us as we collaborate with Washington Trails Asssociation to repair and replenish one of our most treasured Gorge trails, Dog Mountain!

We will be working up near the summit, so you get a twofer: a chance to give back and improve a trail that the Mazamas uses year-round, and a great Spring conditioner to boot.

We will meet at the MMC at 7:00 AM to carpool. The WTA will provide tools, safety helmets, trailing and supervision,  and a post-work snack. We provide the leg power to carry the tools up the trail, and the enthusiasm that we are known for.
