Activity Notes

THIS ACTIVITY IS NOT FOR BEGINNER SKIERS.

Please join the She, They, Us affinity group for a day of alpine touring! United we shred!

We will meet at 8:30am the Summit Pass ski area located off of Highway 26, where the rest area and Chevron gas station are located.

We will skin approximately 2.1 miles from the parking lot up the designed climber’s trail, Alpine Trail, to the boundary of Timberline Ski Resort, gaining about 1,500 ft through old growth forest. We’ll ski (or board) down the same way back to the parking lot.

Those new to alpine touring are welcome to join, but participants are required to have enough ski experience to be extremely comfortable on all in-bounds resort blue runs. This is not an activity for those needing instruction in downhill skiing.

Timberline Ski Resort designates this run as a blue i.e. for intermediate skiers. Conditions and weather will vary, so participants need to be ready to manage their hydration and layers in addition to providing their own alpine touring equipment. Splitboarders are welcome!
