This steep trail charges up the north face of Silver Star, climbing a significant amount before cresting a viewpoint opposite the summit of Silver Star Mountain. From there, it loses elevation and then climbs to a junction with the Bluff Mountain Trail. From there, you turn right and hike to the summit of Silver Star Mountain.
Activity Notes
Ever look out from the summit of Silver Star and see all those ridges and wonder whats out there? This is the hike for you! This is a big one! 20.9 miles and approx 6,300 elevation gain. Lollipop Loop around the Silver Star area. Starting at the Grouse Vista trail head at 7am, we'll head up to Silver Star. From there we will head down Bluff Mountain Trail to Old Copper Creek Road, cross Copper Creek and then head up Star Way back to Silver Start / Grouse Vista trailhead. You will need micro spikes or Yak Tracks and a headlamp. I don't anticipate using them but its the PNW & weather might change. There is also creek crossing so a towel or change of socks may be nice.| Other Information | |
