Activity Notes
Join us for one of the best views of the Columbia River Gorge! This hike gains about 3000'' of trail over a total of 8 miles. You'll pass through beautiful forest, including several overlooks, before we reach Indian Point and (ideally!) get full views of the gorge. We'll proceed counter-clockwise. We'll move at a pace of about 2 miles per hour, but taking breaks at the viewpoints, and as needed. If there is snow or ice, we will not fully venture to the point. Microspikes are highly recommended - as are poles and waterproof pants/shells. Please bring waterproof footwear or gaiters! We'll meet at the MMC as a group and carpool to the trailhead, as parking there is very limited. If you need to drive yourself, you will need a NW Forest Pass to park at the trailhead. Meetup time is 7am to beat the traffic.
