Activity Notes

Join us for a holiday weekend hike up to Indian Point! We'll start on the Herman Creek Trail; when we reach the junction of Nick Eaton and Gorton Creek Trails, we'll go counterclockwise, climbing up the steeper Nick Eaton Trail, so we can descend the gentler Gorton Creek Trail (gotta protect dem knees!). We'll take the lil detour to Indian Point once we get to the next junction of Gorton Creek/Nick Eaton trails because Indian Point is the main attraction of this hike! After a lil snack break at the point, we'll head back down Gorton Creek Trail.

This hike boasts about 2700' and is about 8miles long. You'll work up a sweat, but will have amazing gorge views as a reward! More hike deets: https://www.oregonhikers.org/field_guide/Indian_Point_Loop_Hike

Four legged friends are encouraged to attend, but to maintain a reasonable group size, we are limiting the number of pups to 4. Please email Heather at heather.polonsky@gmail.com to reserve a spot for your pup!

We'll meet at Gateway Transit Center at 8:10 AM and Herman Creek Trailhead at 9:00 AM.

After we're done hiking, we'll hit up a local watering hole for food and bevvies!

Adventurous Young Mazamas (AYM) offers activities targeted to those in their 20s, 30s, and anyone young at heart. All activities are open everyone, regardless of age. Come join us!
