Activity Notes

This hike passes Mirror Lake, which if we're fortunate will live up to its name, and on a clear day, the top offers views from Rainier to Jefferson. Conditions permitting, we will go beyond the first viewpoint to the actual summit. This adds another mile roundtrip (8.2 miles total for the day) and involves light rock-hopping and trail-finding through somewhat overgrown areas.

We'll depart from the MMC parking lot at 8am or you can meet us at the trailhead at 9:15.

A Sno-Park permit is required to park at the trailhead during this time of year. Daily permits are $4 and can be purchased at local retailers including REI, Mountain Shop, and Next Adventure. Annual permits are $25 and can be purchased at retailers or online (see link below). The hike leader will coordinate purchase of daily permits for the group.
