Activity Notes

This is the second in a series of closer-in hikes so we can get outside and enjoy some of the wild places we sometimes overlook in our appetite to climb high. On this hike we will enjoy a brisk hike along the Clackamas River, only 40 minutes from downtown Portland.

We will meet in the MMC parking lot (LOCATED HERE) at 8:30 AM to meet and carpool to the park.

We will begin hiking at 9:15 AM from the parking area at the upper boat ramp in the park (LOCATED HERE).

The hike will be no more than 8 miles long, with slightly over 1000' of elevation gain, and a pace between 2.5 and 3 miles per hour.

We will have lunch at the end of our hike.

An Oregon State Park pass is required to park for free at this park. Otherwise the parking fee is $5.00.
