Activity Notes

Most folks approach Silver Star from Grouse Vista or Ed’s Trail. We are going to take an undeveloped trail (#180), and use the lesser known South Ridge approach. This will give us more solitude and elevation gain, with all the views.

We’ll ascend the South Ridge and meet up with the Indian Pits trail to gain the summit.  Return via the Grouse Vista trail where we will have cars waiting to shuttle us back to the lower trailhead.

8 miles, 3000 ft elevation gain, moderate pace.

Meeting time 0700 MMC or TBD
