Activity Notes

Larch Mountain is a Boring stratovolcano in the Columbia Gorge.  It is the highest point in the west Gorge so it should provide for some good views.  The hike will start at Wahkeena Falls trailhead to avoid the timed use permit at Multnomah Falls.  This is a difficult hike of about 15 miles and 4,700 feet of elevation gain.  The pace will be about 2 MPH, and it will take 8+ hours to complete.
