Archer Mountain is the westernmost of a quartet of similarly formed basalt prominences on the Washington side of the Columbia River Gorge, and one of the nearest hikes in the gorge.

This hike is not often done by Mazamas.  Overall the trail is pretty good, though maintained by dedicated volunteers. There is a small stream crossing on a log bridge, some steepish bits on switchbacks and several nice viewpoints along the route. On the summit we will pass by Quiver and Arrow points.
