The BCEP Gear night is scheduled by some BCEP team's to help get their students oriented to gear options. It will often take place at a local gear shop. It is an optional activity.

There is a whole lot of gear that you are required to bring on our first hike the following weekend.  I will be sending out an edited gear list of the equipment I would like you to purchase in a separate email.  

Mountain Shop graciously puts together discounted BCEP equipment packages, so if you'd like to buy all of your gear in one go, our assistants will be here to help you choose the proper equipment and answer any of your questions.  Will grab a beer afterwards as an informal meet and greet.
