No technical skills are needed for this easy scramble up one of Southern Oregon's significant high points. It has much the same vistas as it's neighbor Mt. Thielsen, but without the rock climbing on the summit pinnacle. There's a trail all the way to the top. This is a popular early season ascent for backcountry skiers.
