Barrett Spur is a highpoint on Mt. Hood's east side. This is a great way to get relatively close to the summit without climbing the mountain completely. On the eastern side you have view of the Hood River valley and the Columbia River. Scramblers can expect challenging slopes, dramatic glacier views, and a close look at the crumbling eastern upper mountain of Mt. Hood.
