Mazamas — For the Love of Mountains
Mt. Thompson is the highest peak in the Trinity Alps in Northern California. The Alps are very similar to the Wallowas but with more trees, good granite, great lakes and views. Easy climb, challenging hike in (like the Long's pass trail into Stuart).
