General Route Info This is a nice hike to the top of the rim of Newberry Crater, a caldera. From the summit views into the caldera and to the Central Oregon Cascade volcanoes are breathtaking. Alternatively you can add ≈1.8 miles (round trip) and 165 ft elev. by starting at the Paulina Lake Visitors Center. Be aware that a road also leads to this summit.
