Krag Peak is either 9048 feet (B.Bond) or 9.080 (list of OR highest peaks on Mazama site). Located in south central reaches of the Eagle Cap wilderness of northeast Oregon's Wallowa Mountains, it is one of many 9000-footers of the range. Viewed from the western slopes of its (larger) neighboring Red Mountain, Krag Peak looks a bit like a bell with steep slopes on all sides.
