This route, with a mere 3,800 vertical gain and a 4 mile round trip hike, is one of the more moderate approaches to scenic summit one can find in the Cascades. This is largely a class 3 scramble route and ridge traverse. Pay attention on the drive in, as the maze of logging roads can be confusing. Early season ascents might have some steeper snow traverses.
