The Mazamas offers a variety of classes for all ability levels. Learn new skills in mountaineering, rock climbing, first aid, ski mountaineering, and more.
BCEP consists of the 6 lectures that you will see listed on this page. Please note, it ALSO consists of a minimum of 4 hikes, 3 field sessions, and a final exam. All of these activities will be scheduled within your TEAM. Lecture evenings start at 6 p.m. and typically run until around 9:30 p.m.
The following list of dates are all of the weekends where Teams are scheduled for activities. Each individual Team will not have activities on every weekend, but this list summarizes all the possible weekends that activities might be scheduled.
- March 9-10
- March 16-17
- March 23-24
- March 30-31
- April 6-7
- April 13-14
- April 20-21
The final exam will occur on April 27th.
When you complete the application is is imperative that you provide accurate information regarding your availability. If you provide inaccurate information to get accepted into the class, and are unable to participate in your team activities due to the information you provided, you will not be moved into another class, nor will you be refunded for the course fee.
