This is an C level Mazama Hike that occurs in a wilderness area. C level hikes are difficult or strenuous hikes with either over 15 miles in distance or over 3,000 feet elevation gain. C level hikes require you to apply; once you apply you will receive an email within a few days letting you know if you have been accepted onto the hike.

Activity Notes

This is a fast paced hike through the Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness area.  We are going to loop around heading from Herman Creek Trailhead through the PCT to Chinidere Mountain traverse over to Tomlike Mountain and then return back on the Herman Creek 406 trail back to the trailhead.  

This is a big hike going at a moderate pace so we can cover alot of ground.  

Expect great views and lots of wildflowers. 

24 miles and 6K elevation gain.
