The Salmon Butte Trail is in the Huckleberry Wilderness area near Mt. Hood. It's 12.2 miles and almost 3500 feet of elevation gain. We will take it at a very moderate pace of 1.5 to 2 mph.

A Northwest Forest Pass is required to park.
Please bring poles, microspikes and warm layers. The trail report of June 7 did not mention snow, but there was snow at Mt. Hood area last weekend, so we will want to be prepared.
Plan on a full day!
