Mazamas — For the Love of Mountains
Activity Notes
We begin this out and back hike at the North Bonneville Trailhead (located HERE), and will use the PCT for most of the roughly 6 mile hike to the top of the butte where we will have lunch.
The hike is principally through forest with few views, although we do hike by Gillette Lake, where beaver activity can be observed. It should be a pleasant, fairly level hike with spring woodland wildflowers in bloom.
Total mileage and elev. gain for the hike is about 12.8 miles and 1500' total elev. gain round trip.
We will meet at 8:00 AM at the MMC (located HERE) to carpool, and will begin hiking roughly at 8:55 AM. We should return to the trailhead around 3 PM and return to the MMC by 4 PM.
