The West face Gully route is an alternate to the popular Avalanche Gulch south side route. It has fewer people and about the same moderate technical requirements.

Get an early start on this route to get firm snow conditions.

Activity Notes

Meet at the traihead 7 AM July 10 .  Climb to high camp.  Summit attempt June 27.  Hike out and return home July 12

 

Note - given the length of the drive, all should plan on Driving to Shasta City on Thursday June 9.  We will need to get permits at the ranger station in shasta city either the evening of the 25th or morning of 10th.
