Come join us for an evening of avalanche education! This NWAC Awareness Course is free to attend and is based in learning principles of safe backcountry travel in and around avalanche terrain. We will be discussing observations in the field, red flags, ingredients of an avalanche and how to make decisions based on the forecast by NWAC or other agencies. Additionally, we will be discussing the importance of being properly equipped, how to access and navigate the forecast, and the need for further training. Classes typically run 1.5 hours.
