Activity Notes

Named after Mazama Lewis H. Lamberson, who scrambled up the butte in 1895, this impressive hike takes us up Gnarl Ridge to Lamberson Butte for impressive views of Mt. Hood, the Newton Clark Glacier, and Newton Creek.

We’ll meet at the MMC parking lot at 6:50 am for a team check and to finalize carpool arrangements before departing at 7:00 am for the Elk Meadow trailhead.
