Activity Notes

This is the inaugural run of this hike route as a Mazamas hike. In 6 miles we will see wildflowers, mountain streams & marshes, as well as a beautiful waterfalls.

  • 7:00 a.m. departure from Gateway/NE 99th Av TC, please arrive at least 10 minutes early for check-in, carpool arrangements and other predeparture activities.
  •  8:30 a.m. hike start from Polallie Trailhead, on the Hood River.
  • Since we are traveling into the Mt. Hood Wilderness Area, we are limited to 12 heartbeats, so no dogs on this one--we want to provide the most opportunity for human participates.
  • Bring your 10 essentials.
  • Weather is unstable this time of year--consider bringing raingear, light jacket, sunscreen, hat and mosquito repellant.
