Activity Notes

Most of the approach is on a very nice trail, and the cross country portion has very little bushwhacking. The climb is a 3rd class scramble so team members should have previous experience on exposed and loose rock terrain.  I have not done this peak previously, so the climb will be exploratory- expect some adventurous confusion.

Itinerary:

Aug.21 PM: drive to a campground  (TBD) on the east side of Mt Rainier.

Aug.22: climb Governor's Ridge and drive home late evening.  I expect the climb will take most of the day.
